职位描述
Main Duties
· Production of the design of all mechanical systems and determining the associated construction budget cost during the programming and conceptual design phases, for large / complex projects;
· Determining and defining sustainability targets;
· Review of the design of mechanical systems, produced by other team members, for technical compliance with specified and contracted client / customer requirements;
· Review of all mechanical tender documentation;
· Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress;
· Arranging internal design reviews with the support of the HOD;
· Representing the Mechanical Team in monthly Client Meetings;
· Compiling lessons learned and briefing HOD on same;
· Formulating any necessary recovery plans relating to:
· Design
· Cost
· Schedule
Mentoring of the Senior Engineers with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company.
Other Duties
· To promote safe working practices and to protect the health and well-being of Employees, Sub-contractors and Customers;
· To create and maintain a professional atmosphere in the workplace. This shall be achieved through example;
· To create a focused Mechanical Team, and provide adequate and appropriate support to all team members;
· To ensure that all mechanical Team members are fully conversant with their scope of works and the extent of the obligations of M+W;
· To protect the interests of the company;
· The typical technical and commercial scope would include, as a minimum; pricing of Request For Quotations; report writing; design; all stages of tendering through to award; construction; commissioning through to completion; surveys and fact finding; trouble shooting; final account evaluation etc;
· Ad hoc duties as determined by management.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies (skills):
· Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject
· Diploma holders with additional 2 - 3 years’ experience unless equated with professional certifications
· 15 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineer
· 10 years’ experience in a Senior Mechanical Engineer position
· Five years’ experience on fast track projects
