职位描述

Position:
Technical Service Desk


Responsibility:
·Technical Support:

Respond to parts related queries from the regions within a timely and professional manner.

Answer spare part number related inquiries by searching and updating technical spare part information

Manage component (and retrofit) inquiries, orders, sales, deliveries and documentation.

Handle spare part documentation feedback.

Participate in issuing spare part Bulletins .

Provide field and factory training in parts look ups as required (Cat Base,Toolman, etc.)

Participate in spare part documentation and New Product Development (NPD) projects in the early stages of project planning.



·Parts Creation and Maintenance:

Initial part (item) number setup in the SMC Logistical system after liaising with Product Line Management ensuring that price rule and commodity code are correct

Ensure that all necessary parts are set up and available within SMC Logistics

Ensure availability of spare parts for new models during product launch and ramp-up

Manage existing part numbers by confirming the accuracy of the item master and evaluating the need for replacements, supersession's & updates in the SMC Logistical system.



·Inventory Forecasting and Analysis:

Provide initial recommended spares lists for the first unit into a country/region with stock quantities, max/min and reorder points.

Update recommended spares lists, stock requirements and liaise with the inventory group to action any changes in stock due to changes in specification.

Participate in assisting regions with new Asset Agreements, parts and component forecasts/recommendations.

Give spare part recommendations, First-Service-Kits.

Provide stock recommendations based on Regional forecasts to regions, sales companies, SMC Logistics and customers

Report abnormal parts usages.

Ensure critical/major components are stocked to support active fleet.

Forecasting to ensure relevant information is gathered to meet short and mid term requirements.

Support managing stocks and help developing strategies to reduce and/or eliminate OSMI.



·Pricing Team (GLP)

Participate on the Global Pricing Team to make recommendations on GLP for the respective product line

Send pricing requests to SMC Pricing Group.

Qualification & Experience:
Technical service or experience in assembly.

Experience in the mining and or construction industry.

Good understanding of the service business processes.

High level of computer literacy with an understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and service system/s.

Part structure knowledge



Competencies:
High level of initiative, drive and determination to achieve goals and targets.

High level of computer competence in database, Microsoft suite.

Strong emphasis on time management.

Problem solver with sound decision making capabilities.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Highly developed listening and meeting skills.

Ability to travel as required
