In 2003 a WFOE in North China with a headcount of currently 200 people was set up as the
main production base in Asia For this plant we are now exclusively assigned to seek for a
Technical Manager/ Director
(Location: North China)
Conceptual idea
The Technical Manager (TM) leads and further develops our client’s technical department
which encompasses the functions R&D, Quality and Sourcing (excluding for the local
production) He/she actively drives, executes and manages projects (eg Product
Development, local sourcing) in close cooperation with the internal and external business
partners With a good business acumen the TM elaborates and explores additional business
opportunities by convincing and winning these partners The desired outcome is to increase
our client’s revenue and setting up the required infrastructure to develop and promote more
value-added services He/she further provides technical support internally and externally
Profile
The TM is a hands-on person and possesses strong technical knowledge with sound experience
in design of electromechanical components, electronic packaging techniques, environment
testing, plastics engineering and ideally also in injection mold design
As the key interface for internal and external parties very good communication skills are
essential to efficiently interact with people from different levels, functions and cultural
background The incumbent is a well-organized person who ensures that projects are
progressing and timelines and costs are under control Technical documents are also
maintained accordingly and he/she will constantly work on setting up and optimizing the
related processes and guidelines The TM understands frequent business trips within and
outside China as a necessity and beneficial in this role
Requirements
- Minimum BSc degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
- At least 6-years’ experience in design and project management of electromechanical
components, electronic packaging techniques, environment testing, plastics engineering
and/or injection mold design
- Excellent project management skills going along with strong leadership
- Strong intercultural competence with outstanding communication skills
- Excellent command of German and English is a must, ability to communicate in Mandarin
is a plus
- Highly motivated with a charismatic and persuasive personality and high level of integrity
and loyalty
- Willingness to accept frequent business trips to Europe, the USA and within China
- Very good knowledge of MS-Office incl Project Professionals, Project server, SharePoint

independency and freedom to shape things, the Technical Manager will come across and deal
with a broad range of products and technology on an international platform
