Role Summary/Purpose

He/She will manage a portfolio of Power & Water projects and achieve the lowest optimized delivered cost & cycle, ensure on-time delivery of equipment, and support turnkey planning requirements for on-time COD through strong schedule management.
Essential Responsibilities
• Lead the Project Controls & Logistics team in China, supporting the Asia Pacific pole • Drive lowest delivered cost solutions for projects that support on-time delivery of customer deliverables, including the logistics execution to increase margins and maintain project execution • Drive development of turnkey project schedules and partner compliance with the consortium agreements relating to schedules • Collaborate with the Global PC/Logistics functional owners to ensure the local execution is consistent with the global standards • Drive key PG portfolio metrics to identify trends and risks, make appropriate changes to get out in front. • Work cross-functionally to mitigate standard cycles to meet customer / contract needs dates for on-time delivery as well hit key delivery windows to reduce transportation costs. • Manage "early warning" identification of potential issues and drive RCA functional ownership to reduce "Cost to Recover" exposure. • Develop competitive ITO strategies to meet cycle and win logistics scope in the region. • Manage project systems for consolidated reporting, trend analysis and customer reporting. • Show organizational leadership and ownership of key planning & logistics metrics and lead additional operational activities, as needed • Primary interface with the business teams for developing and managing logistics plans for various projects in the power and water organization • Prepare and review portfolio logistics budgets as well as Estimate at Completion variances. • Present to business leadership strategies and execution plans to drive operational goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Must bring high energy with strong leader skills and be a global team player with a history of satisfying internal and/or external customer needs.• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, with a focus in a technical / analytical field.• Minimum 8 years professional experience, 5 years Energy industry experience, 4 years Logistics / Planning / Project Management experience.• Demonstrated team leadership experience with a minimum 5 years demonstrated experience for people development.• Turnkey project experience on large industrial projects preferably combined cycle power plants • Demonstrated experience with equipment project planning, turnkey project planning, project logistics.• Demonstrated project commercial knowledge and proposal development knowledge• Demonstrated experience in a position requiring cross-functional integration in a matrix environment with problem solving, negotiating and conflict resolution skills using data driven strategies• Strong presentation and communication skills. Self-motivated, excellent work prioritization and highly reliable. • Fluent (written and oral) in English.• Advanced degree in Master Business Administration or PMP certification.• Green Belt or Black Belt Certified (GE Employees Only). • Previous experience in GE Energy, specifically GPO.
