Banking (GB)

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

·To support GB RMs (mainly MNC- Multinational corporates) by preparing credit applications for annual/interim reviews and new monies with high credit quality standards and in full compliance with all the internal policies/procedures and external regulations.

·Keep close contact with RM teams and join activities throughout the entire process leading to approval of credit applications, including client visits, information collection, facility structuring and justification, identifying key risks and proposing mitigating factors;

·Manage and complete workload assigned by team leaders and RAU head based on business needs;

·Develop sound banking & industry knowledge and apply high standard credit principles to ensure credit applications are completed with sufficient KYC and robust risk analysis;

·To conduct regular reviews on GB MNC credit portfolio together with RM teams, RAU head and GB management so as to closely assess and monitor credit risks and risk changes for early actions as appropriate and ensure GB’s sound asset quality.

·Maintain Banking's regular credit review process to ensure no undue overdue of annual review;

·To conduct sector analysis of special industries as required from time to time.

·To maintain HSBC internal control standards, for example by implementing internal and external audit recommendations and/or issues raised by regulatory bodies

Qualifications

·To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Relevant university degree (recognized by the state) and preferably professional qualifications.

·10 or more years of experience in corporate or general banking with solid credit skills.

·In-depth knowledge of local market and working exposure in corporate banking areas with sound judgment capability and risk sense to balance business growth and credit risks.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to deal with senior management of large corporates.

·Coaching and leadership skills

·Good written/spoken English skills are essential.

·Highly motivated and well prepared to take on challenges.

Successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required
