OG-TMS Turbomachinery Solutions

Role Summary/Purpose

The Application Engineer will work with the commercial ITO/Sales and Engineering teams to develop technical solutions and proposals for gas turbine application as mechanic driver and power generation.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with the ITO / Sales teams to define the technical requirements of the projects and translate those requirements to technical proposals
In addition, you will:
• Be responsible for all aspects of proposal development including proposal planning, solution estimates, technical & commercial documentation, and interaction with commercial ITO / Sales, customers, and other cross-functional business teams
• Lead and drive new product initiatives and drive growth by influencing and working with customers at early project stages
• Be accountable for the development and continuous evolution of proposal standards, templates, and self-serve tools that drive consistency & repeatability in deliverables, reduce cycle time, and improve overall deal profitability
• Ensure technical proposals are accurate and meet contractual and regulatory requirements
• Follow-up on proposals to successfully resolve technical matters related to specific customer project queries
• Be responsible for carrying out technical clarification meetings & negotiations with the customer from conceptual to commencement stages
• Drive project hand-off to OTR team after orders
• Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering from an accredited University
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
• Experience in turbocompressor engineering is preferable
• Good technical writing and oral communication skills in English and Chinese
