职位描述
This position will work closely with worldwide customers, Sales, and Service teams to proactively execute customer agreements for accurate revenue and cash collection. The position will also work closely with internal Tax, Credit and Project Managers to ensure accurate order processing and invoicing. This position will create SAP sales orders, projects, billing milestones and invoices and will also work with the customer to address customer billing problems entering required information into their payment system for prompt payments to prevent receivable issues. The Customer Order Management group supports all UOP business divisions and works cross functionally with UOP Sales Specialist at UOP offices worldwide.
Duties Include:
Establish and maintain effective working customer relationships.
Work the customer and Sales relationship to optimize executable agreements which reflect UOP, customer and applicable governmental requirements.
Lead the liaison between external customer, Sales and internal project managers to proactively manage the balance between accurate, timely order processing and invoicing.
Train and mentor new Sales staff in the proper execution of forecast and executed sales.
Actively lead the timely creation of business forecasted events for financial forecasting and strategic planning. Maintain forecast data monthly.
Participate in overall revenue and cash goals.
Ensure team and individual goals on accurate sales order creation, revenue recognition, and invoicing and cash collection are achieved.
Manage and administer customer accounts including purchase orders, agreements, financial instruments, and governmental required documents.
Work with project management, financial analysts and project accountants to insure accurate forecasting, cost accruals and revenue recognition. Understand percent complete revenue recognition accounting and its impact on the revenue cycle.
Act as control point for business order processing policies and processes.
Work with project managers to ensure planned costs on SAP networks are accurate for proper revenue recognition.
Identify and troubleshoot problems with Business Forecaster, SAP Project Systems, and Sales Orders.
Drive regular involvement of worldwide Sales, Service, Tax, Purchasing and Credit management in status of customer portfolio.
Work to keep past due receivables down by working closely with Tax and Credit and Collections.
Understand and interpret agreements for licensing, equipment, service, engineering and products for all UOP’s business divisions; Process Technology and Equipment business, Gas and Hydrogen Business, Catalyst and Adsorbents and the Renewable Business and administer sales orders, and invoicing effectively.
Logistics Interface - Coordinate with project execution staff, procurement personnel, logistics and compliance experts to make sure proper documentation is complete and available in order to insure timely delivery of customer shipments.
Invoice Resolution Coordination – Coordinate with project management, Sales, Credit and accounts payable to resolve customer invoice issues to ensure timely payment.
Understand accounting for Royalties including early revenue recognition.
This position regularly interfaces with Sales, Sales Support, Engineering, Equipment, Tax, Procurement, Logistics, HON Compliance, HON Credit and Collections and HON Treasury.
Actively Participate in Six Sigma Teams.
Special Projects focusing on Clean up and/or Process Improvement as required.
Qualifications
Associates degree or 2 year college equivalent; Bachelors Degree desired.
Minimum 2 years experience in finance, accounting and managing external customer relationships.
Minimum 2 years experience using Microsoft Excel and Word-Intermediate Level and PowerPoint.
3 years SAP or equivalent system-wide application experience, specifically in the following SAP modules; SAP Project Systems, Sales & Distribution, and FICO.
Knowledge of financial negotiable documents i.e. Letters of Credit, Stand by Letters of Credit would be a plus.
Understanding of financial accounting basics; GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).
Excellent communication skills both internally across distances and externally with customers.
Understanding of UOP Licensing, Service and Equipment business complexity.
Assertive, Conscientious and Customer-focused.
Strong negotiating skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

This role requires partnering with Finance, Tax, Legal, Sales, Project Management, Credit, Treasury, and Procurement. This role is not just an order taking job. It requires a diverse skill set due to complex contract language and revenue recognition models. This position works globally with regional offices, legal entities and multiple product lines.
