Description:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for the growth in terms of turnover and market share in the assigned territory through the definition of the strategy for the market and main action plans in terms of sales management and channel management.
The position reports to the Sales Manager, Specialty Business.
Responsibilities:
1. Living Safely
· Live the Safety Stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
· Implement a personal safety action plan
2. Knowing Our Customers
· Ensure that the information concerning the customers and market needs are collected, analyzed and shared inside the organization.
· Meets with distributors, clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating closing deals being the sales representative for the market segment.
· Reviews market analyses to determine customers’ needs.
Metrics
· Relationship with distributors and customers
· Business / Contract negotiations
· Knowledge of customers
· Market analyses quality and completeness
· Market share / Sales Volume
3. Directing Operations
· Developing and managing sales channels
· Promoting our product with distributors
· Leveraging external and internal resources
· Quotation handling
· Ensure proper Supply Agreements are in place for businesses
· Customer Master data gathering
· Enable the Perfect Order process
· Support Finance in solid credit management
· Manage proper complaint handling follow up
· Customer satisfaction measurement
· Manage and assess the distributors operating in designated area
· Steer after sales customer service activities
Metrics
· Effective agreement/contract/order acceptable by company and customer
· Control of over-due receivable
· Solution to customer complaint
· Customer satisfaction
Job Requirements
Experience:
· Undergraduate degree required (Engineering); advanced degree preferred (Management)
· Above 3 years of commercial experience, preferably in sales
· Experience in negotiating complex deals with various functional people to reach an expected sales model
Knowledge and Skills:
· Basic understanding of Business Administration (knowledge of marketing, finance, technical and legal aspects of a business)
· In knowledge of industrial marketplace e.g. economic situation, customer requirements, technological developments
