Responsibilities:

Communicate client technical requirements to Design Institute
Review design deliverables including sub consultants for adherence to budget, scope, R&O and technical specifications.
Review designs against Client technical requirement
Review design schedule & progress
Assist and advise discipline engineers to ensure designs are technically appropriate
Pursue innovative and new ideas to improve the performance of designs and or efficiency of the design office
Ensure all quality assurance procedures are followed and deliverables have been reviewed
Advise and encourage junior staff of expectations and technical requirements
Use, review and revise all typical drawings, standard specifications and calculations/ simulations to reflect current industry standards


Qualifications:

Bachelor degree of engineering (Civil or Structural)
8-10 years minimum engineer design experience in Civil/Structural engineering within a similar industry (Coal industry experience not essential)
Registered Structure Engineer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English
On-site experience with large new constructions
