Responsibilities/Duties

? To document pertinent data in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.

? Document on the appropriate data collection system (or by hand when necessary).

? Ensure that a study is conducted according to protocol, SOPs and government regulations.

? Learns to utilize computer software for forms and procedure generation.

? Receive and accession samples

? Perform initial processing and preparation of samples

? Prepare specimens for shipping

? Sample tracking and inventory

? Dispersion of samples to testing area

? Follow protocol requirements

? Attend preinitiation meetings

? Pipette calibration

? Clean laboratory equipment and work space

? Record environmental data in instrument logs

? Enter data in computerized data capture system

? Use common laboratory equipment

? Archiving of samples and data

? Identify equipment problems and notify appropriate support personnel

? Perform other duties as assigned in the Clinical Pathology
