REPORTS TO: Project Engineering Manager
SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/职位要求及培训需求:
College degree in engineering or related, with tool and die shop background preferred.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in large die making and / or mold making /tooling industry, with experience on supplier management preferred.
Possess knowledge of tooling design & construction.
Organized individual with proven skill in record keeping, time management & organization of multiple projects.
Good English and Mandarin communication skills.
Good negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to travel, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Orientation, safety training, PPAP, SPC training, ISO9000/ISO14001/OHSAS18001 awareness

Exceed our customer's requirements efficiently through innovation, coordination and teamwork, while supporting a quality product in a cost effective, safe and positive environment.
Travel to customer site to investigate quality concerns, tooling build process and buyoffs.
Ensure that the roles and responsibilities of Team Members are carried out with accuracy, professionalism and success through the use of both leadership and management methods.
Liason with customers, suppliers and our Team regarding various elements of manufacturing product design process (feasibility reviews, cost control, engineering changes, continuous improvement initiatives, etc).
Prepare reports, maintain records, communicate all required information to appropriate parties as required or applicable.
Lead launch and buy off activity.
Support feasibility study of the die process for quotation purposes.
Support to make quotations.
Support final die process and obtain internal and customer buy-off.
Evaluate part tolerance and their effect on the die process. support process team to provide tolerance allowance information to manufacturing.
Review conceptual tool and die design in-house.
Follow up Sub-contract die-design, models, FMC patterns as required.
Ensure completed sub-contracted work complies with customer design standards, support to buy-off completed work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/工作职责:
Follow up die construction and monitor variations from build schedule.
Coordinate with internal manufacturing staff to ensure minimum interruption to the die building process.
Document and track the status of engineering changes, modifications and other variances from the original build contract and provide necessary information to the Sales.
Maintain an ongoing project schedule and status report and work to understand and reduce deviations from planned schedule.
Monitor the ongoing project budget for costs and work to understand and reduce deviations form the budget. Evaluate cost increases and cost reduction possibilities.
Maintain an open and closed issues file for each project.
Follow up and attend project meetings and write reports to keep management informed.
Buy-off dies with customer and support buy-off team in resolving problems relating to open issues list, compliance to standards and quality concerns.
Present CMM buy-off inspection report to customer and provide necessary explanation.
Perform other reasonable duties as required.
Abide by all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations;

Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards;
