Bekaert establishes its presence with a manufacturing platform in China since the early nineties. As one of the first and most important Belgian investors to believe in China’s market as a world player, Bekaert has experienced significant growth in China in the recent years in almost all of its business platforms, and in particular, in its steel cord products for tire reinforcement. The annual average net sales growth in China is over 30% over the last decade.

上海贝卡尔特--二钢有限公司

Shanghai Bekaert-Ergang Co. Ltd. (SBE) is the professional manufacturer and seller of steel fibre reinforced concrete, which is the joint venture between Shanghai Ergang Company of Baosteel Group and Belgium Bekaert Group. SBE is located in Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone, in Shanghai Pudong. Since 1998 SBE started up the production, its annual production reaches 15,000 tons per year.

上海贝卡尔特--二钢有限公司是由上海宝钢集团二钢有限公司与比利时贝卡尔特公司合资组建的，专业生产和销售混凝土增强用“佳密克丝”钢纤维的中外合资企业。企业位于上海市浦东新区外高桥保税区内，于1998年6月投入生产，年产15000吨各种用途的钢丝纤维。

为满足国内外市场对钢纤维产品的需求， 我公司在1998年6月一期工程建成投产后，1999年1月经外高桥保税区管委会批准，又进行了二期扩建工程建设，并于同年10月建成并投入生产。二期工程建成后，总投资达到1100万美元，注册资金550万美元。年产钢纤维从6000吨增至15000吨，使产量、产值和出口创汇等各项指标在一期工程的基础上达到翻一番的目标。

“佳密克丝”钢纤维引进了贝卡尔特公司的专有技术，产品具有抗拉强度和长径比高、与混凝土的握裹力及和易性好等特点，并采用特殊水溶性胶水将钢纤维粘接成排，避免了单根散纤维搅拌时容易结团的问题，是目前世界上独特的、技术性能最高的冷拔钢丝纤维产品，填补了国内市场空白。
“佳密克丝”钢纤维已被上海市科委批准为“上海市重点科技产业化计划项目”。从1999年起至今，已连续7年被上海市政府命名为高新技术企业。同时，从2002年起至今，连续三年被批准为上海市先进技术企业和产品出口企业。

目前，公司已经通过了ISO9001质量体系和ISO14001环境体系的认证。
