PURPOSE OF ROLE: The IT Support Specialist is part of a team responsible for supporting the teams in the resolution of complex user based IT/Telephony hardware and software issues (including blackberry) and incidents where required, whilst working closely with business users in defining local requirements and delivering locally approved solutions. The role has global responsibility for proactive managing the key interface between our user and the teams responsible for the management of incidents, changes and requests which impact upon user.
Reporting to the North China IT Manager this role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work on many IT initiatives, provide input to planning, design and development of infrastructure services and is an escalation point to a motivated team.
KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES / KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
? Act as a hands-on technical resource and following system administrator instruction to manage local server;
? Communicate with internal clients, vendor partners, and stakeholders;
? Support system changes and adapt the new environment based on company standards;
? Help to execute ongoing administration and health maintenance plans, procedures, and operations which provide from system administrator;
? Installation and management of Microsoft Domain Controllers, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy;
? Provide a high level of customer service through phone, email and face to face support for all group users;
? Support desktop PCs, notebook, telephones, printers and audio/visual equipment;
? Analyze and recommend new technologies as appropriate for use by the business;
? Provide technical assistance and work direction to aide other employees.
? Provide Helpdesk service by scheduled roster
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Mandatory:
? Microsoft Windows Server 2003 / 2008 Administrator
? Microsoft Windows XP /7;
? Microsoft Office 2003 / 2007 / 2010;
? Video Conference (Polycom);
? Understanding of audio visual equipment;
? VoIP Telephone (Cisco);
? TCP/IP Network;
? Lotus Notes E-mail Client;
? Experience in Arcserve backup solution product
? Mobile Technologies (Blackberry, iOS, Android);
? VMware knowledge would be an advantage
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory:
? College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3-4 years equivalent work experience.
Desirable:
? Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) 2008;
? CCNA/CCNP;
? Degrees in Information Technology will be highly regarded;
? Project management skills a definite asset;
? Customer relationship management skills gained;
? Ability to work with business users in defining local requirements and delivering locally approved solutions ;
? Strong language skills in native spoken & written English;
? Ability to build, communicate and maintain relationships at senior management level;
? Can work independently with strong analytical and problem solving skills;
? Self-motivated, multitasking, able to work under pressure and to tight schedules.
? Helpdesk experience with good phone manner

? Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
? Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
? Highly self-motivated and directed with a real sense of service and attention to accountability.
