Purpose of the position
? Establish and lead the BA MI Application Development team in RGC.
? Provide BA support to the RGC Manufacturing Industry segment to ensure profitable growth.
? Ensure Arc Welding capability development and customer support.
Principal responsibilities
Ensure RGC Manufacturing Industries segment growth through
? Identify RGC MI market segment trends, market potential for MI Applications and most relevant areas of growth and drive agreement with the global Market Segment Heads
? Bring agreed new Application PSOs to the RBU responsibles, foster decision making and support adaptation, implementation and promotion
? Propose agreed ASE focus, campaigns and re-launch activities in RGC to promote most relevant MI Application PSOs already established in the market
? Assist BA Market Segment Strategy development with local insight
? Support the RGC MI Market Segment Manager to develop and execute the RGC MI Application Sales strategy in accordance with the BA Market Segment Strategy
? Drive RGC J-A-P definition and execution together with the global MI Industry Segment responsibles and follow-up the results
? Manage interface with local organization to equip, maintain a safely local / BA shared Centre of Excellence according Linde safety standards
? Utilize the local / BA shared Centre of Excellence to ensure that relevant application development, customer trials, demonstrations, preparation for commissioning and trainings as well as Linde Pro Tech trainings can be performed
? Drive and organize relevant Linde MI ProTech Trainings for sales people and ASEs in RGC, run the MI Linde ProTech 100 Training in RGC
? Establish a network with relevant Associations and Universities for the Industry Segments.
? Establish a network of global key accounts for the Industry Segments.
? Establish a network of commercial partners and suppliers for the Industry Segments to assemble or produce Linde MI equipment (pumps, burners etc.) locally and/or for co-marketing and system integration of Linde MI products
Establish and lead the BA Manufacturing Industry application team in RGC through
? Plan and control the budget of BA-MI in RGC in co-operation with the global Market Segment head
? Coordinate and facilitate input to local market communication organisation
? Identification and employment of skilled experts for the relevant MI applications according ramp-up plan in co- operation with the Industry Segment heads
? Drive BA-MI Capability development and succession planning for the team
? Manage the interface between global MI and the RGC organization in co-operation with global Market Segments Heads (e.g. Sales, Product Management, Marketing, CES etc.)
Drive Arc Welding application development in RGC
? Identify RGC Arc Welding trends and market potential and drive Application Sales growth opportunities in co-laboration with the RGC management and the ASE team
? Run Linde ProTech 200 and 300 Trainings in RGC
? Do training-on-the-job for RGC ASEs (contact new and existing customers to present Linde Application PSOs and define the best technical solution, propose test trials at customer site or in lab, present the Linde offer in front of the customer)
? Support local customer trials, demonstrations, preparation for commissioning and trainings in the Centre of Excellence together with the RBU welding support
? Run critical customer trials, demonstrations, preparation for commissioning and trainings in the Centre of Excellence
? Identify application development requirements, exchange with the global Industry Segment Head and manage assigned application development projects
? Fulfill PLCM responsibilities for the assigned MI application PSOs
? Support the local welding gas portfolio development from Application Development perspective in co-ordination with global Product Management
? Identify global key accounts in Arc Welding and establish collaboration in cooperation with the global Industry Segment Head
? Identify and establish a network with relevant Arc Welding Associations and Universities in cooperation with the global Industry Segment Head
? Identify commercial partners and suppliers and establish a network to assemble or produce Arc Welding Application equipment locally and/or for co-marketing and system integration of Linde MI products in coordination with the global Industry Segment Head
Main KPIs are RGC MI New Application Sales, RGC MI Sales Growth, J-A-P supported New Application Sales and J-A-P execution against plan.
Focus of work will move over time from Arc Welding application development to RGC Manufacturing Industry segment growth / leadership of BA MI team in RGC.
Required qualifications and experience
? Academic qualification in relevant science
? Welding engineer with at least 5 years experience
? Basic knowledge in brazing, laser, thermal, cryogenic and plastic applications
? Background knowledge in hardgoods, fillers and electrodes
? Knowledge of Linde MI application PSO portfolio
? Insight into key MI industries
? Experience in Application Selling, Development and Training
? Experience with Linde internal processes like J-A-P, Farsight, PLCM
? Experience in working in international environment and matrix structure
? Fluent in English; German at least basic level
? At least 5 years relevant professional experience
? Establish and lead the BA MI Application Development team in RGC.
