Greater China ocean Operations Manager, implements and monitors binding processes, policies, guidelines and standards to ensure efficient delivery of operations within China ocean operations
The primary purposes of the role are:
? Implementation of globally binding operational processes, policies, guidelines and standards to ensure an efficient ocean product and operational delivery in China cluster.
? Suggest and after approval implement china ocean specific processes, policies and guidelines.
? Regular monitoring and controlling of ocean business (OPS KPI) internally and externally in china cluster.
? To drive continuous improvement of ocean operations in china cluster.
? To support and consult the Country Head of Ocean Freight and the Global Ocean Operations Team.
? Support the Global Ocean Operations Team in assessing system and process change requests of the stations and the country.
Key Tasks
? In close cooperation with the Country Head of Ocean Freight, implement globally binding operational processes, policies, guidelines and standards to maximize efficiency of operational ocean freight execution, track implementation across China cluster and sub regional clusters.
? Draft country specific processes and policies in line with global processes
? Monitor adherence to implemented standards and take corrective actions if necessary in the country.
? Coordinate development and implementation of policies, guidelines and standards responding to local governmental rules and specification in cooperation with the Global Ocean Operations Team
? Drive and measure data quality across the stations of the country.
Performance Management
? Monitor targets for agreed operational KPIs
? Provide internal benchmarks on operational unit costs (TEU/Shipment/CBM) and productivity in the country (shipment/operator) to drive consistent costing and pricing within the country and across stations.
? Drive continuous business improvement processes
? Analyze and qualify potential improvement initiatives and drive timely implementation within the country.
? Drive Greater China CFS impeccable execution towards CEVA standard and KPI fulfillment.
Systems and Processes
? Implement processes and guidelines together with relevant stakeholders within the business line as well as well as stations of the country.
? Challenging the validity of given procedures and processes to enhance and improve or develop complementary adjustments/solutions.
? Support development of standard system solutions (new systems or existing system enhancements) to best support operational efficiency execution of operations on country and station level.
? Analyze Change Requests of the stations. Propose system enhancements, bug fixes and new features to Global Ocean Operations Team.
? Support testing and deployment of system/IT application roll-outs
Training
? Train CEVA staff on OCEAN systems, processes and products
? Identify training needs and develop and communicate training schedules within the country.
General Management:
? Be a committed and engaged sponsor for projects and initiatives in the functional discipline, and participate as a committed and engaged member of cross functional projects and initiatives that are not lead by ocean freight
? Close coordination with other Products of the region in general and with SCS and Air Freight in particular
Business Implementation
? Support Customer implementation in the country.
Decision Making Authority
? Together with Country Head of Ocean Freight, enforcing adherence to Ocean Freight related standards, guidelines and processes in the country.

Educational background / Work experience
? Practical ocean freight experience
? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Economics/Logistics or freight forwarding apprenticeship
? 5-7 years of work experience (minimum)
? 5-7 years of overall industry experience (minimum)
? Fluent in English (written and spoken)
? Fluent in Chinese
? Microsoft® Office Software (Excel®, Word, PowerPoint® and others)
