About the Unit
Application Services Shanghai is an internal delivery centre providing Software Development and Application Management Services to the global DNV GL organization. Working closely with colleagues across the globe, we develop and maintain DNV GL’s application portfolio. We are 30+ engineers with a good working environment. The job provides some opportunity for international travel.

Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) is responsible for developing and maintaining is operating the DNV GL data warehouse and business intelligence system. This includes managing , and has the responsibility of operational issues, ETL performance, data warehouse data quality and also participant in data warehouse and business intelligence development projects. The business intelligence team in Shanghai is strategically chosen by DNV GL to have capability for operating and developing DNV GL business intelligence. BICCThe business intelligence is coversing a wide range of both businesses and data warehouse techniques. We need you as a new team player to meet the increasing need for new business intelligence solutions.

? Job description
o Participant global business intelligence project, develop ETL programs according to requirement requirementsand BICC best practices
o Communication of production issues to relevant stakeholders
o Cooperate closely with the DNV Data Warehouse team on system utilizations, strategies and planning of future releases.
o Interact with the DNV Data Warehouse team, IT Integration teams, IT Infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met.
o Enable data consistency through supporting data quality, data integrity, and reporting consistency.
o Follow-up and problem solving of issues related to the data warehouse solutions.
o Be involved in data warehouse improvements and performance related issues.

? Qualifications
o University degree (Bachelor-degree or equivalent/higher)
o 4+ years working experience
o Good Knowledge of Data warehouse concepts (Dimension, Fact, ETL, Data Mart)
o Excellent PowerCenter skills
o Excellent SQL programming skills
o Knowledge of MS SQL server
o Travel to Norway is required. Each stay may be as long as 1-2 weeks
o Often there will be a need to adjust working hours in order to have more overlapping time with team members in Norway
o Knowledge of shipbuilding industry is a strong plus
o Knowledge of Netezza is a plus
o Knowledge of common OLAP reporting tools is a plus (BO, Cognos, SSRS, MicroStrategy,etc)
o Experience of working in an international team is a plus
o Experience of support & maintenance is a plus
o Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM is a plus
