Job Description
PMT Asia Senior financial analyst position, located in Shanghai, China, is with PMT Asia finance team and will be accountable for financial integrity and reporting of Long-Term Contract Accounting for Asia sites. This role will be responsible for driving consistency in accounting processes and controls, and plays a key role in enhancing the global Project Accounting (PA) model providing accounting stewardship and support to the region. The person will support FP&A manager on monthly reporting activities as well.

Responsibilities:
Accountable for regional financial analysis and review of percentage of completion projects (revenue impact from EAC changes and expired PO dates, direct margin trend, contract gains/losses). Reporting to Finance, Controllership and Senior Management on significant and/or complex contracts with material financial statement impacts
Routine accounting close tasks including but not limited to review and quarterly testing of Purchase Order (PO) accruals, contract loss reserve adjustments, reconciliation of Unbilled and Deferred Revenue accounts for Asian sites, ad hoc journal entries and manual revenue adjustments and ensure accounting controls
Monitor compliance with project accounting policies including EAC adjustments; Drive timely closure of projects; calculate and communicate related revenue impact to Finance in order to close project timely
Manage day-to-day Asia project accounting work process and utilization of resources in Bangalore, India
Provide project administration support to Customer Order Management (COM) group including financial review of initial project setup, project release/closure, and monitor project inconsistencies
Assist in implementation of new procedures and systems in response to new US GAAP pronouncements and corporate policy changes
Act as Project Accounting subject matter expert in support of special projects as required; Respond to audit requests and inquiries during periodic SOX and compliance testing
Support FP&A manager in financial reporting and analysis for PMT Asia, including budgeting, monthly reporting, reporting process optimization, NPI revenue tracking, driving for data consistency and other FP&A related projects
Ad hoc projects as needed


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5 years accounting / audit / finance experience
Knowledge of long-term contract accounting and SAP Project Systems

Additional Qualifications:
Public accounting experience preferred, cost accounting experience is a plus
Experience in financial reporting preferred
Intermediate proficiency in Excel (Pivots, V-Lookups, and Macros)
Experience working with international organizations and/or manufacturing environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic with hands on approach
