Summary:
A world leader in the invest banking industry is seeking a Senior Application Development to be based in Shanghai. This role is reponsible for supporting global projects.

Key responsibilities:
- design, develop and test ETL batch including code optimisation as well as performance tuning
- design, develop and test GUI (Flex/JSP) including back-endcode (Java), understand the underlying data
- develop and test SQL, Shell or Perl scripts for metadata set up, data migration as well as project deployment
- read and interpret data model as well as understand the Entity Relationship (ER) model
- understand the concepts of and write code for the n-tier architecture
- understand Java/J2EE design patterns, concepts of Model-View-Controller (MVC), and object-relational (OR) mapping
- write components using Flex, Spring, BlazeDS, Java/JSP and Hibernate
- write SQL, Transact-SQL and develop stored procedures
- write Linux Shell/Perl scripts
- understand and follow technical design document and code appropriate components
- write jobs scheduler and monitor scripts such as Autosys and Netcool
- develop test cases and perform unit and integration testing
- follow team’s adopted standards, name conventions and best practices

Key requirements:
- more than 4 years' working experience in Java software development
- experience in Java multiple-threading program is highly preferred
- experience in big data ETL batch is highly preferred
- experience in writing Java web code and server side code in a commercial environment is highly preferred
- experience in SQL/Stored Procedures/Transact-SQL is mandatory
- experience in Sybase ASE database is highly preferred
- working experience in Perl and Unix shell scripting (ksh) is highly preferred
- experience in Java project build and deployment is highly preferred
- experience in Flex, BlazeDS and Spring is preferred
- experience in test frameworks such as JUnit, JMock is preferred
- experience in SDLC best practices such as code version control is desirable
- experience in financial industry, particularly in regulatory compliance
- fast learner, self motivated individual, a team player and able to work independently
- good English reading and writing skills are highly preferred
- good meeting and communication skills
