Reporting to: General Manager of China

Job summary:
Develops, implements and coordinates product and quality assurance and control program for continuous
improvement and prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
Drives customer satisfaction program.
Control the suppliers

Key responsibilities
1. Recruiting, developing and training the Quality Assurance staff to assure optimum support of
the customer base (internal and external)
2. Developing and communicating quality goals and initiatives and implementing quality control
plans in each manufacturing area
3. Developing and deploying appropriate functions and activities to maintain and improve
departmental performance in support of short and long term goals
4. Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate
areas of responsibility, personnel requirements and operational procedures within program.
5. Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives.
6. Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits.
7. Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to
problems or changes in procedures.
8. Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain
information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders and vendor quality
standards.
9. Driving corrective actions on significant internal and external quality defects/issues

Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years Quality experience in a medium to high volume electronics manufacturing
environment; ; Typically requires 6 to 8 years in a management role with developing,
implementing and managing quality systems or related area.
2. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or manufacturing-related field, or equivalent
experience required
3. Must be familiar with standard statistical tools for measuring and quantifying failure rates and
process control
4. Proven record of applying statistical methods to solve problems
5. Must have detailed understanding of industry practices in product reliability testing
6. Experience working in a China-based, US-owned manufacturing operation is required
7. Bilingual in Mandarin and English
8. Results driven with documented success in exceeding Quality goals or objectives
9. Should be familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
10. Training in Six Sigma concepts would be a plus
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate in a
multi-cultural environment.
12. Understanding of translation tools and methodologies
13. Proficient with MS Office Suite
14. Familiar with SMT process including reflow condition optimization.(preferred)
15. Familiar with DRAMs and memory modules.(preferred)
16. Capability of conducting audit suppliers and taking audit by customers.
17. Capability of failure and root cause analysis for corrective and improvement actions.
18. Working knowledge of SIP standards including 9001, 14001 and 18001.
10. Measurable Factors:
Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as
well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates detailed expertise in
very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas;
understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
