Duties & responsibilities
Main duties are described as follows. Other duties may be evaluated and assigned as working scope and client requirements of the position changes on an ongoing basis.
- Independent account management
- Understand customer expectation, develop and set up appropriate working process to ensure efficient & quality deliverables
- Timely communicate with and report to clients on program directions, progress and status
- Leverage intracompany resources to meet client expectation
- Perform factory process assessment/evaluation based on client’s defined scope, includes but not limited to:
- Root cause analysis & corrective/preventive actions
- Production planning and control, manufacturing process control, change management, training, etc.
- Specific evaluations per request
- As the business varies the factory evaluation/improvement consulting may cover scopes of social compliance/ethical, work condition, global security verifications, etc. besides the quality system.
- Map out existing process (both business/manufacturing), SWOT analysis and provide best practice suggestion and/or recommendation for improvement.
- Work with client(s) to ensure that good practices are used to develop and implement corrective actions. Emphasize on process quality control and CAPA.
- Monitor the quality performance trend by quality data analysis, identify improvement opportunity, work out action plan and follow for execution.
- Help the vendors/factories with the problem solving activity, work with the vendor/factory to identify and verify root cause, develop containment/corrective/preventive action, follow up with the implementation and execution.
- Vendor training.
Job Requirement:
Basic Requirement:
- LANGUAGE CAPABILITY. Shall be able to communicate with clients independently in ENGLISH, via email/reporting, face to face, conference calls, etc.
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Shall be able to efficiently communicate/negotiate with clients, vendors/factories, different departments internally.
- 5 years+ factory experience, manufacturing process understanding.
- QA background, ISO 9001, Social Accountability management system understanding.
- Basic knowledge on sampling and inspection.
- Willing to travel.
- Rise to the challenges.
- Responsible.
- B.S or above.
Preferred Requirement:
- Knowledge of consumer electronics (e.g. amplifier, speakers, camera …), or auto parts/ accessories, or general hardgoods and their manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with North America product safety standard and regulation.
- Familiar with Western culture, Experience working for Western retailer, importer or trading company.
- Familiar with retailer sourcing process and QA.
Other skills and abilities:
- Basic General computer knowledge.
Good proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point.
