Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

- To research, review, formulate and revise wholesale credit and market risk policy guidelines and related procedures for implementation across all HBCN outlets to meet HBCN’s strategic and financial objectives while ensuring these guidelines are both commercially and operationally viable and in compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

- To coordinate the implementation of Group and Regional wholesale credit and market risk policies and guidelines in HBCN.

- To coordinate the review of new products and initiatives or material amendments of existing products proposed by business and functions for Wholesale Credit and Market Risk (WMR) team.

- To handle/coordinate all regulatory affairs for WMR, including but not limited to new regulation assessment and implementation, regulatory inspections / survey, etc,

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- At least 7 years banking experience in related field with at least 4 years of experience in an executive role.

- Bachelor degree preferably in the areas of Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Law or related discipline.

- Good understanding of macro-economic trends, banking system as well as risk management principles.

- Excellent logical thinking and analytical skills.

- Good interpersonal and communication skill.

- Able to prioritize workload and constantly work under pressure with good planning and co-ordination skills.

- Competent written and spoken English language skills, apart from proficiency in Chinese.

- Project management experience is a plus.
