The Forensic and Fraud Mitigation Program (FMP) team is part of HP’s Internal Audit group and is tasked with assisting
other functions such as Global Security and the Office of Ethics and Compliance in performing investigations into
allegations of breaches of the company’s Standards of Business Conduct (SBC). The team is also responsible for
performing Fraud and anticorruption risk and controls assessments of various processes and locations globally.
The successful candidate will assist the team in performing Fraud and anticorruption Risk and Controls Assessments
globally, including scoping, process interviews, sample selection, sample testing and report writing including identifying
process gaps and the relevant mitigation steps required.
The successful candidate will also review and analyze relevant data and participate as necessary in SBC investigation
interviews.
Additionally they should possess strong written and spoken English and Mandarin skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Team member on Global FMP reviews and assist in all parts of the FMP process.
- Ensure effective scoping to determine highly complex processes most susceptible to fraud risks
- Interview relevant process owners and document process steps
- Identify relevant fraud risks and mitigating controls
- Assist in walk through testing, compile work-papers, and assist in writing reports and drafting mitigation plans in
English.
- Identify residual risks requiring further mitigation, and assist in documentation of appropriate fraud mitigation plans
- Perform documentation reviews and interviews in Mandarin and English.
- Provide advisory/consultative services in respect of process improvements.
- As necessary, assist in SBC investigations.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to understand and explain multiple processes and systems.
- Data mining and extraction techniques (e.g. Excel, ACL, etc.).
- FMP review scoping, interviewing process owners, sample selection, create relevant test procedures and report writing.
- Demonstrated project management skills such as planning and execution of tasks.
- Strong fraud risk assessment and scoping skills.
- High level of proficiency in use of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel.
- International and multi-cultural mindset[LS1] .
- Flexibility to work across global time zones.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (required)
- CIA, CPA, CA or in the process of obtaining qualification (preferred)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) (preferred)
- External and or internal audit experience
