职位描述
Responsibilities:
? Manages the legal responsibilities and legal staff for a small business, country or workgroup.
? Directs the day to day activities of the team in alignment with the strategic direction of General Counsel.
? Manages legal responsibilities for multiple client organizations with divergent priorities and needs.
? Leads complex, multidimensional projects or transactions.
? Aligns necessary resources to high risk areas based on the understanding of the strategies and goals of HP and the Legal Department.
? Takes full accountability for clients' legal needs by delegating appropriately and networking effectively to achieve resolution of matters outside of direct subject matter expertise or responsibility.
? Drives implementation of innovative process improvements to effectively address business needs.
? Scope includes managing the legal support team for one or more parts of a global or regional business or managing complex commercial transactions.
? Impact includes providing specialized legal expertise in one or more areas of strategic importance to client base.
Requirements:
? Education and Experience Required
? Advanced university degree in law (e.g. JD or LLB).
? Meets local legal license requirements.
? Typically 10+ years commercial legal experience including both law firm and in-house.
? Experience mentoring and developing attorneys.
Knowledge and Skills Required
? Excellent leadership and people management skills, including performance management, problem solving, and evaluation.
? Mastery of legal and relevant business knowledge in multiple practices areas.
? Recognized subject matter expert in a key practice area.
? Broad and deep knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices.
? Developed awareness of how to operate successfully in multiple international legal environments.
? Mastery in negotiating or advising senior representatives of external and internal organizations on complex and high value/risk matters.
? Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
? English language skills to business standard required.
