Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing product strategy to address the process control needs of Greater China. This position reports to the Operations Marketing Leader for Greater China.
He/She will work closely with Line of Business (LoB) leaders locally and globally to align HPS product portfolio to Chinese market needs, and establish product development strategy to further enhance competitiveness of HPS offerings. Scope of product management includes hardware, software, and service offerings in verticals such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Metals & Mining, Pulp & Paper, and more.
He/She will collaborate with functional leaders in Design Engineering (DE), Operations, Sales, etc. to execute product strategy & tactics. In addition, he/she will support the Strategic Marketing team in establishing annual 5-year strategic plan (STRAP).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply Voice of Customer (VoC), Quality Functional Deployment (QFD), market segmentation, and other marketing tools to define and quantify customer needs, competitive landscape, and solution requirements.
Align product management deliverables with STRAP priorities, AOP targets, and Honeywell China’s “Become a Chinese Competitor” (BCC) initiative.
Implement value pricing tactics, optimize transactional pricing, and establish competitive product positioning relative to segment needs.
Establish clear and concise communication with global product management and DE team to align regional product plans with global product roadmaps.
Support China Local PAC to execute East-for-East new product development, realize value engineering goals (localization / cost reduction), and explore “big” product ideas.
Collaborate cross functionally with DE, Operations, ISC, Sales, etc. to establish and execute product development strategy and go-to-market plan.
Partner with Sales team and distribution channels on establishing sales plan, developing order pipeline, and enhancing sales conversion rate.
Collaborate with marcom on product launch, marketing collaterals, e-presence, branding strategy, and promotion programs.
Support marketing processes such as Investment Priorities Plan (IPP), Win/Loss Analysis, Competitive Analysis, etc.

QUALIFICATION
Bachelor or masters degree in science and engineering, MBA degree is strongly preferred.
>7 years of practical experience and domain knowledge in process control businesses or related industrial verticals such as Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Power, LNG, Paper & Pulp, and Mining & Metals. Experience in other process centric industries would be considered.
>3 years of leadership experience in product and/or project management with strong business acumen.
Able to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze market needs, segment customer buying behavior, pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and solution pathway. For internal candidates, this means a commanding knowledge of the Strategic Marketing Process (SMP).
Proven track record of executing high-impact product development and growth programs.
Good team player and listener, open-minded, with good interpersonal and communication skills to work with peers and executives in matrix and functional structures.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Take personal initiative with strong desire to grow, contribute, and lead.
Excellent Mandarin and English proficiency in writing, reading, and speaking.
Experience in creating and delivering clear and impactful presentations for customers, peers, and executives.
