Honeywell (China) Co. Ltd, a Fortune 100 diversified technology and manufacturing leader, is looking to hire a Manager for the Honeywell Technology Experience China, a venue for displaying leading Honeywell technologies. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Honeywell China Communications.
Manager, Honeywell Technology Experience China (HTEC Manager) will assume overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of the Honeywell Technology Experience China. The Manager HTEC is based at Honeywell's Shanghai office in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park.
HTEC was launched in May 2012. The HTEC Manager is primarily responsible for overall management, marketing, and daily operations of the center including but not limited to: creating an HTEC marketing plan and materials, hospitality, scheduling visits, updating exhibits, planning and maintenance. Before the center opens, the Manager HTEC will be involved in production implementation of the center, including but not limited to: working with internal business owners and external vendors including The Brand Experience to develop and produce exhibit contents, oversee production schedule for the center establishment, communications coordination between vendors and Honeywell internal stakeholders including Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Honeywell businesses.
The Manager must be detail-oriented, professional, well-spoken, a good bilingual writer, personable, and self-motivated. Previous work experience in communications, event planning, and/or permanent visitor centers is a plus. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get broad exposure within a dynamic corporate work environment.
The HTEC Manager will be responsible for providing successful guest experiences for a variety of audiences visiting the Center. Specifically, the Manager's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1.Manage daily operation of the Center and ensure a positive experience for all visitors and hosts
2.Schedule visits to the Center with the appropriate Honeywell contacts/customers which have been pre-approved by Honeywell
3.Coordinate visitor activities with key Honeywell China staff including but not limited to senior leaders of Honeywell Government Relations, Communications and businesses as well as his/her Staff Assistant; Zhangjiang Campus Operations Director; Receptionist, etc.
4.Source and evaluate Honeywell subject matter experts in advance of contact/customer visits.
5.Serve as a consultant to Honeywell representatives to ensure successful Honeywell internal briefing is thoroughly planned. Consultations include but are not limited to presenters, product information, and logistics.
6.Work with Honeywell sales and government relations teams to develop customized agendas for each visit based on customer's requirements and the team's objectives.
7.Conduct pre-briefing meetings with Honeywell presenters, subject matter experts and sales teams to ensure everyone is ready to meet the customer requirements.
8.Send confirmation e-mail and agenda to contact/customer to confirm their requirements.
9.If applicable, create agendas, name tags, information packets, gifts and surveys for visitors as needed
10.Oversee and maintain the operation of the exhibits and content of the Center and all organization for visits and tours activated in the Honeywell Technology Experience China, including management of external vendors supplying services for the Center, provided, however, that no change can be made to the exhibits and content of the Center without Honeywell's written authorization.
11.Facilitate and manage events at the Center as needed.
12.Develop marketing materials and programs for Honeywell internal awareness.
13.Compile, analyze and manage reporting of all significant metrics for the Center, i.e. usage statistics and trends, evaluation scores, internal and external customer feedback.
14.Maintain all Honeywell hardware and software installed at the Center, including all audio/visual systems.
15.Initiate and update marketing communications for new products including coordination between Honeywell and The Brand Experience.
16.Align the Center with other Honeywell community relations initiatives.
17.Interface effectively across all levels of management and administration in the Honeywell and The Brand Experience organizations.
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5-8 years of experience, 10+ years preferred
Must have studied or worked in the US culture environment.
Must have excellent bilingual writing skills
Must be very detail-oriented
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and analytical skills
Must have a strong professional presence, especially with high-level executives and legislators
Must have ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Experience in maintaining budgets and statistics a plus
Experience in managing an executive briefing center or visitor center is a plus
Experience in event management is a plus
Familiarity with the government and technology industry is a plus
Must have a working knowledge of the internet
Must be a self motivator
Must have strong customer service skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (with strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
