职位描述

Main Responsibilities:
1. Define the process for growing effective "partnerships" with preferred suppliers (to drive optimal quality performance).
2. Develop, implement, and monitor early supplier quality development initiatives, including supplier performance management, supplier certification, process improvements, cost reduction, supplier forums, Six Sigma/Lean integration, supplier quality audits, and selection activities, that align with the Company’s goals and objectives.
3. Liaise with supplier and Companies functions (Strategic Marketing, Strategic Development, Quality Assurance, R&D, global business unit Sourcing, Corporate Sourcing, Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) to develop supplier quality capability through supplier assessment and feedback, training, supplier incentives, etc.
4. Develop a framework for defining, structuring and implementing programs for product development suppliers, focused on innovation and learning.
5. Define and develop required communication and rollout plan for addressing product development supplier capability deficiencies, etc.
6. Work with new and existing suppliers to ensure quality system improvements.
7. Assists in identifying, communicating and resolving early-stage supplier quality problems.
8. Understands, develops, and facilitates plans for process control, capability and sustainability at the supplier.
9. Conducts Supplier Quality Audits of new suppliers when required to determine adherence to acceptable quality practices.
10. Conduct quick and efficient assessments of potential suppliers Quality systems Understand the quality cost delivery requirements of the business and external customer.
11. Perform Due Diligence assessment as related to Quality, capability and continuous improvement tools.
12. Ensure proper approval and documentation practices are followed for any process, material or tooling change at suppliers.
13. Ensure supplier compliance with Company’s Quality Systems and all relevant internal procedures and policies.
14. Identify and execute contracts and Quality Plans with Suppliers to ensure quality products.
15. As a member of Product Development Core Teams, conduct proper transfers of responsibilities for supplier management and development during the appropriate stage (Feasibility and Development) During early review and selection of the supplier, facilitate and monitor all development efforts at the supplier.
16. Uncover unique opportunities for supplier-led initiatives aimed at developing new innovative products.
17. Complete gap analysis comparing current state to future state or expected state.
18. Ensure suppliers provide thorough information to support development of new projects, to include PFMEAs, risk limitation and contingency planning, Process Control Plans and Process Capability Studies.
19. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction with existing and new suppliers.
20. Initiate the supplier performance management process as well as participate in annual supplier forums.

Professional Requirements:
1. 8-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including Quality systems, standards, metrics, and tools.
2. Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing and negotiating with all levels of an organization and leading effective change initiatives, supplier quality development, planning, training, influencing and negotiating, etc.
3. Automotive manufacturing experience required, preferred in powertrain systems and in cross functional role.
4. Must be able to travel 50% or more International and Domestic.
5. Follows the guidelines and rules as set out by the Employee's Handbook and Company policies.
6. Performs tasks and responsibilities detailed in MPT’s TS16949 policies, procedures and work instructions.
7. Complies with the designated ISO / 14001 responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with MPT’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
8. Proficient in the use of MS-Office software

Technical/Functional Expertise: Able to demonstrate mastery of the technical/functional skills necessary for performing own job; maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of the advances in field; regularly publish or present on leading-edge issues; conduct leading-edge research or similar work that has organization-wide impact; play a key role in advancements in profession.
