Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF)

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

• Be primarily responsible for the CSTF business development in Northern and Central China

• To originate, structure, negotiate and execute CSTF transactions in close coordination with CSTF CN central hub (Shanghai) whilst able to perform the roles with relative independence

• Responsible for generating sales through New To Bank or New to Trade clients.

• Finds and assess CSTF specific opportunity within the marketplace (even where there doesn't appear to be one) and matches the solution within the CSTF / GTRF offering that meets specific needs.

• Develop new revenue streams by actively finding identifying new customers as well as managing a portfolio of existing client, and selling innovative CSTF solutions thus maximizing commercial profitability. This will include responsibility for pricing to ensure that the threshold returns are met, reviewing and negotiating the full range of CSTF services together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the Group

• To be recognized as the CSTF specialist with an ability to display in-depth knowledge and understand the risk profile of relevant products and services with the jobholders area of responsibility

• To act as the senior sales representatives on opportunities with key clients and/or deals

• To champion proposed CSTF transactions internally by liaising with relevant stakeholders

• Drives best practice in lending and risk policies ensuring this remains in line with economic and market practices


Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of global trade finance, services, products and techniques.

• Strong knowledge to the commodity sector and related trade flows

• Extensive knowledge of the commodity market & market trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment.

• Detailed knowledge of existing GTRF back and front office area

• Detailed knowledge if Credit & Risk including techniques to mitigate risk

• Broad knowledge of HSBC Group companies and product ranges

• Sales Management experience at a senior level including dealing with senior executives plus a proven sales record


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, with priority for accountancy or business qualification or equivalent

• Trade related industry qualifications, with priority given to experience in working with commodity specific sectors and/ or structured trade space

• Business and relationship management background would be advantageous

Skills

• Strong sales, interpersonal, communications, leadership, negotiation, analytical (including but not limited to financial and cash flow modelling), presentation and decision making skills

• Good organisational skills with an ability to effectively prioritise and meet critical deadline

• Strong commercial orientation combined with a customer driven approach

• High level of commercial knowledge

• Ability to interact with senior executives

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities in both Chinese and English
