Essential Responsibilities
Deal execution:
Analyzing the BD opportunities in line with GE China's growth strategy.
Conducting screening and short list creation of target companies.
Lead or support BD Leader in the whole deal-making process including identifying and assessing BD opportunities, conducting due diligence, negotiating, and closing deals.
Building relationship with target companies, be the key communication channel between GE and target, identifies/anticipates the needs/risks/opportunities at target companies.
Manage the deal to ensure all key GE functions are well informed and hence, no delay in the BD process
Interfacing with internal/external stakeholders:
Championing the BD activities for GE business in Greater China area while interfacing with all interested external/internal stakeholders.
Developing a strong network of contacts in business segments to ensure GE China is in a position to know about and act upon business development opportunities.
Becoming the company expert in the markets with respect to attract new business growth opportunities.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic qualification:
If the candidate has a bachelor degree in Engineering with 5-8 years of industry experience in transportation, energy, aviation or healthcare industry
If the candidate has a CPA with 5-8 years of audit/corporate finance/finance management experience
If the candidate has a bachelor degree in Business with 6-8 years of business development experience in transportation, energy, aviation or healthcare industry with strong track record in leading deals from origination to the closing.
Quality:
The candidate must possess strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. He/she will be resourceful and creative, and will enjoy the challenge of pursuing deals. Individual must be well exposed to the current business climate in China.
He/she must have the ability to embraces ambiguity, defines issues clearly and takes action despite incomplete information
He/she must have the ability to set aggressive, yet realistic goals, and will deliver results within predetermined time constraints.
He/she must possess superior communication skills and be able to interact cross functionally at all levels internally and externally. Able to develop relationships with target companies.
He/she will be a self-starter, able to act independently, and a decision maker, yet intelligent and self-confident enough to seek assistance when needed.
He/she must have strong presentation skills and be comfortable making presentations to internal and external senior executives.
He/she will be of high integrity, decisive, able to articulate well and able to operate with a high degree of influence. The individual should be a mature and stable person.
He/she must possess "execution and result-oriented culture".
He/she must have good skills in both English and Chinese Mandarin.
