Key accountabilities:
Coordinate and drive efforts across China all BUs and operation sites: standardization of approach/process, driving cost reduction target, lead project prioritization and resource allocation models. The objective is to drive a high level of visibility and accountability around whole company level on continuous improvement and lean sigma initiatives.

Support MBB to deliver Lean and Sigma GB training, and specific workshop training to candidates and be capable to support MBB design and modify training materials according to business requirements.

Drive changes into the organization (Continuous Improvement culture, Lean, Six sigma…)

Coordinate the selection process for the most impact projects, and drive the allocation of resources required to support them (e.g., management team, GB team and lean sigma committee…)

Be a key enabler in realizing Lean Sigma vision, Mission and Value (creating a culture obsessed with continuous improvement).

Benchmark our businesses against BUs/Ops sites, relevant competitors or best in class industries; bring these ideas into the company, and spread them, to be the Key facilitator of best practice sharing.

Tight coordination and collaboration with BUs and Operation sites management team to bring benefit and provide value added service, good communication and facilitation to avoid duplicate any of the ongoing efforts, nor confuse our employee base.

This position must be a Lean & Six Sigma expert in skill and knowledge. The position has no direct reports, but will have a number of indirect reports (for example Lean Pilot, Green Belt and project leaders within the BUs and Ops).

Requirements:
1. A minimum of a BS degree required; scientific or technical education preferred. MBA, PhD or Masters level degree would a plus.
2. Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
3. Must have 3 years of hands-on six sigma/lean experience (i.e., must have lead the successful implementation in a company, not as a consultant).
4. Deep project management experience.
5. Lead Black Belt or Senior Black Belt background.
6. Cross functional experience (e.g. Lab service, manufacturing, R&D, quality, supply chain and Engineering).
7. Chemistry and Life sciences background is a plus.

2. Track record as a change agent in a mid to large size organization.
3. Good understanding of multiple functions.
4. High degree of creativity and problem solving skills to adapt the lean six sigma tools and create new ones to suit needs.
5. Passion, Hard driver; high energy level; positive attitude; works well under stress.
6. Coupling strong analytical skills with good interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to people at very different levels in the organization (shop floor technician to Senior Management team).
7. Strong communicator with very high energy level.
8. Hands-on, action-oriented, and able to implement effectively through other groups and teams.
9. Operations minded and business savvy.
10. Able to work autonomously in a matrix-managed organization.
11.Willingness to travel (~10%).
12. Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
13.
