To be responsible for the development and deployment of study databases and tools for data capture and cleaning, for the development of reports for clinical review and to transform and deliver data for analysis.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

1. Creates and maintains the eCRF / study clinical database structures (e.g., Medidata Rave, Viedoc, Inform)
2. Programs, tests and maintains system derivations, data quality checks and eCRF form and field access control conditions
3. Programs, tests, maintains and executes the transformation of data into appropriate data models
4. Customizes standard report templates to produce study-specific reports for data cleaning and Medical Data Review

With relevant experience, will also:

5. Participates in / leads the development and review of study database build specification documents
6. Participates in / leads the development and review of specification documents for data transformation into the appropriate data models
7. Performs QC of programs and study database components

Qualifications

? Bachelor’s degree or above
? Previous working experience with a programming language like SQL, PL/SQL, C# or SAS and/or previous working experience with a Clinical Data Management system in one or more of the following areas: clinical study database setup, edit check programming, data extraction or reporting
? Good understanding of the study teams role and processes in drug development
? Good knowledge of clinical data management systems and processes
? Ability to work under guidance, with general instructions on new assignments
? Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
? Ability to communicate proactively and good written, oral and presentation skills to ensure key information is provided clearly, quickly and accurately at the appropriate time
? Strong and proactive problem solving skills to avoid or solve a known/recurrent problem or address an unexpected challenge or obstacle
? Attention to detail of own and stakeholder’s work


Language Skills

? Excellent written and oral communication skills in English or Japanese as second language

Minimum Work Experience

? Relevant Clinical Trial industry experience
? Experience working with systems used within the Clinical Trial process (e.g. EDC (Inform, RAVE, DataLabs, Viedoc), CTMS, Medic
