Primary role:

. Investigate and examine the performance of hard materials and metals such as iron and steel, as well as non-ferrous metals.

. Utilize all available means including universities, outside research firms, industry experts, as well as knowledge derived from experimentation to advance the performance of hard materials and coatings

Responsibilities:

. Duties as stated above

. Material characterization for the development of materials including hard materials, steel and alloys

. Be able to use advanced instruments such as SEM, EBSD, and EDS

. Utilize standard engineering calculations related to specific design or analytical projects to develop new materials and processes

. All other duties as assigned

. Vast knowledge-base of full range of analytical techniques being used for material and their performance limits

. Materials characterization & surface analysis, corrosion testing, welding, NDE, and failure analysis and laboratory investigations

Requirement:

. Minimum 5 years’ experience in material characterization using advanced instruments such as FESEM, EBSD, and EDS is required.

. Advanced knowledge of materials, and manufacturing practices

.Must have extensive knowledge of physical and chemical behavior of hard materials metals and alloys

.candidate must be self sufficient, able to utilize all available means including universities, outside research firms, industry experts, as well as knowledge derived from experimentation to advance the performance of hard materials and coatings

. Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin is necessary. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.

. Be knowledgeable of the current codes and standards used fir material specification and testing.
