· Provide all HSE&S support to leaders and line managers at the site, promoting and exhibiting HSE leadership at the site.


· Support line managers in the development and implementation of HSE&S systems, procedures, and training to comply with applicable AkzoNobel and regulatory requirements.


· Support line management to ensure compliance with HSE&S regulatory permits, HSE&S Corporate Standards, Life Saving Rules and other applicable mandatory programs.


· Support the implementation and maintenance of a Behavior Based Safety program to improve the safety culture and behaviors at the site in line with the AkzoNobel requirements.


· Oversee the interface with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders as required to obtain and maintain applicable HSE permits and licenses.


· Develop site designated employees in risk assessments, and support the execution of these assessments.


· Coordinate with external experts the implementation and maintenance of an industrial hygiene program for the different areas at the site. Coordinate with human resources the annual health physical medical inspection


· Keep abreast of HSE&S regulatory changes that impact the site to support line managers with the understanding and applicability of such regulatory and legal requirements. Provide support to line managers in the development and implementation of actions to comply with new or revised requirements.


· Support line managers in driving incident reduction by implementing the HSE&S common platform programs in line with the Industrial Coatings and AkzoNobel strategies.


· Lead and participate HSE&S Incident Investigation and Corrective Action Processes as applicable.


· Monitor the performance of safe working conditions and safe behaviors as part of the daily activity, supporting line managers in identifying hazards, risks and developing solutions to reduce exposure to such risks.


· Support the development and implementation of an HSE&S training program for on-site and off-site employees, visitors and contractors related to the site.


· Maintain communication and interaction with HSE&S AkzoNobel, regional and local sharing relevant information to related parties.


· Complete and submit internal and external HSE&S related reports as required


· Support project/process change providing relevant HSE&S advise to ensure compliance with AkzoNobel standards and applicable local legislation


· Support the HSES aspects of the Contractor Management process


· Approve Personal Protective Equipment selection and purchasing


· Coordinate with experts the execution of HSE&S regulatory compliance assessment


· Monitor HSE&S performance indicators and provide suggestions for improvement to the management team as required


· Monitor waste handling and participate with suggestions for waste reduction.



Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):



· University degree or above preferably in HSE or Engineering discipline



· Minimum 5 years or above work experience in chemical industry on HSE



· Good communication skill



· Can work under pressure



· Proficiency in computer skills



· Good written and spoken English, CET-6 certified is preferred



· Safety certification is necessary
