Responsibilities:

1 Identify yield improvements by process based upon established weekly and monthly process KPI’s.

2 Work with QA department in root cause analysis and implementation of internal/external corrective actions in response to customer returns, customer complaints or occurrences of high scrap.

3 Identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within the production process.

4 Study existing machines and processes and implement solutions to reduce scrap and rework.

5 Develop training programs for new and existing machines, processes and process improvements.

6 Identify and lead teams in Lean 5S and Kaizan events.

7 Continuously review process flow and line balancing in order to reduce WIP and lead-time using lean tools and single piece flow methodologies.

8 Responsible for the evaluation and approval of new machines, new materials and supplies used in the production process.

9 Responsible for developing jigs and fixtures that can help streamline material/product handling and product testing.

10 Responsible for validation of customer requirements with internal processes and production departments.

Qualification:

1 Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English.

2 Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing engineering.

3 10 years proven experience in a manufacturing/production/industrial engineering role.

4 Candidate must be must be self-motivated and creative with bright ideas and solutions to solving/improving manufacturing process problems.

5 Experience in 5S, Poka Yoke, 6 sigma, Kaizan and lean implementation.

6 Experience in soft magnetic ferrite core, iron core or alloy powder core industries or have experience within a powdered metal industry … machines and processes would be an advantage.

7 Experience with the use and application of epoxy powder coating is also an advantage.
