Role Statement:
The Account Manager is the outside sales person for a number of strategic accounts in a defined territory and/or a specific industry/technology.
The Account Manager is responsible for managing all aspects at a customer targeting maximum revenue, account penetration and customer satisfaction. This includes develop the account strategy, account planning and relationship management as well as promotion activities or project management tasks.
The position has to detect and realize new opportunities/projects and is responsible for increasing the customer share and managing the project pipeline thru with Field or Resident Engineers.
To ensure complying services and project realization for the customer the position is working closely with multiple different functions within Company.


Key Tasks:
Relationship Management and Demand Creation
? Continuously caring for a good trusting relationship between the customer and Company
? Stay in permanent direct contact (visits, email, phone) with the customer to ensure ongoing support and communication
? Promote Company technologies and product portfolio at the customer
? Select and introduce (new) products and services, considering the customers’ needs
? Sell the value propositions of Company’s products and services
? Detect new opportunities and drive the project thru Resident Engineer/Field Engineer
? Coordinate with internal disciplines to serve the customer on time in terms of quotations, quality complaints, logistics, technical information, etc
? Engage and drive the Company organization to support and respond in timeframe & quality level that the customer expects (e.g. logistics, quality, etc.)
? Conscientious follow up on open issues and opportunities


Strategic Account Planning, in line with the overall company and business unit goals:
? Analyse the existing customer
? Define and develop an account strategy/plan
? Gain, correctly interpret and apply to all kind of research results (markets, competition, technologies, trends)


Other Duties:
? Prepare and discuss offers and quotations
? Prepare and lead price and contract negotiations at customer
? Follow up on running opportunities/projects
? Follow up on financial matters such as cash flow payments, and credit concessions, account receivables
? Internal reporting of projects and other business activities
? Keep updated with regard to products, technologies and market trends and environmental changes

? $ Revenue Growth, Market Share, Profitability
? Customer penetration
? Customer satisfaction
? Accounts Receivables Management
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge:
? Must have minimum a bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering degree Minimum five years professional level Sales experience
? Needs a professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding
? Needs a good understanding of technical complexes
? Engineering background in electro-mechanics/electronics
? Should have had previous experience in account planning and relationship management
? Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of the Company’s technology and product portfolio and the markets they serve
? Previous exposure to Company processes and structures will be an advantage

? Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (inside and outside of Company)
? Strong project management skills
? Strong selling, presentation and negotiation skills
? Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
? Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans
? Good knowledge about automation industry
