Essential Responsibilities
• Lead the pressure control Shanghai and Suzhou commercial teams in day to day activities, job allocation & assignment, develop and engage team members
• The Commercial Team Leader will serve as the key point of commercial escalation and resolution for customer & sales issues, during ITO and OTR in order to drive share, margin expansion, and customer responsiveness and satisfaction
• Responsible for developing and executing a robust deal review, risk mitigation, and customer communication process in compliance with GE Legal, Finance, and Compliance standards.
• Provide leadership and strategic guidance to drive execution in coordination with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement through strong ITO/OTR feedback mechanisms, competitive benchmarking and rapid deployment of New Product Introductions (NPI) and commercial innovations.
• Leverage GE cross-business resources to maximize market penetration.
• Proactively define & recommend solutions that strengthen deal terms and minimize financial & overall deal risk.
• Establish key metrics for performance & effectiveness to improve performance.
• Continuously identify and refine the ITO/OTR processes, with special emphasis on Lean opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
• Actively participate in contract negotiations with customers.
• Mentor and cross-train team members to ensure quality, consistency, and continuity across functions.
• Develop influential relationships with target customers at all levels, understand decision-making processes, and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions and customer base ~ Continuously monitor projects for existing / potential problems and take the lead role with the relevant functions (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain) to mitigate issues and communicate in a timely manner with customers.
• Develop and implement pricing analysis and tracking to allow the business to measure and manage project, flow, and services pricing decisions levels.
• Full compliance to company regulations and EHS requirement
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor degree, majoring in mechanical engineering, project administration or related subject
• At least eight-year related experience in surface wellheads, trees, valves a nd mudline products
• An understanding of project management techniques, knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and techniques
• Good organizational and communication skills, leadership capabilities, project management skills, competent business acumen. Ability to handle problems involving several variables
• Logical thinking and problem solving skills
• Planning, budget control skills
• Strong people and team management skills
• Good command of English, both reading and written
Desired Characteristics
· Prior experience in sales, commercial finance, contract negotiation and execution is preferred
· Strong business acumen
· Knowledge of how transactions affect the business model (both GE and customer)
· Knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contracts, terms and conditions, negotiation, etc to allow constructing contracts with minimizing risk
· Industry knowledge / competitive landscape understanding at a transaction level
· Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams
· Six Sigma training is preferred (GE emloyees only)
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
