Role Summary/Purpose
Account Manager to manage channel Partners, pipeline development, meet order targets set for country, identify growth needs for the channel and improve channel capability, drive strategies for profitable growth, enhance customer coverage and rapport.
Identify new project opportunities, Work with marketing to address project specific needs. Negotiate and close contracts. Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base.
Essential Responsibilities
• Manage business in the territory assigned for GE - DFT Products to achieve bookings plan.
• Manage Channel Partners and mentor them to achieve budget plan for territory and submit monthly Sales forecast and reports
• Identify key clients, develop rapport, plan for retention of key customers and enhance client interaction.
• Identify and update product managers constantly on the product gaps, application challenges, channel issues and Voice of customer.
• Work closely with all the Product Managers to explore and present the new business opportunities in the industry segment that is currently not being focused.
• Identifying competitor activity with respect to product launches, Promotional programs, initiatives, strategies, pricing & packaging trends and problems / complaints within the region.
• To support Sales Director to prepare the annual bookings plan, forecast, market survey, incremental business opportunities, market share and intelligence reports.
• Coaching / Mentoring, movitating, counseling and supporting Channel partners to meet their sales objectives / bookings plan.
• Identify strength & weakness of the Sales channel team and work closely to establish realistic sales objectives on monthly basis.
• Identify and develop a well trained sales force in the sales channel that you manage and assist them in the selling process where required.
• Constructively handle complaints from customers and sales channel
• Conduct regular sales meetings and organize conference calls to review the performance of sales channel that you manage and stimulate them to achieve results.
• Analyze the business dynamics and initiate actions to achieve monthly forecasted sales plan.
• Initiate project pursuit strategies and support application team to submit winning bid proposals.
• Developing strategy to secure key projects identified adopting a project specific approach for each individual opportunity.
• Plan, develop and initiate after market and account management strategies to manage and grow the after market business.
• Implement sound account management strategies and create MRO replacement opportunities to fuel MRO business.
• To carry out other duties as and when assigned by the immediate Supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 8-10 years of experience in a technical sales position
