职位描述
Purpose of the position
In Xingang port area:
· Lead and develop the Oceanfreight operations department (CS, DP, etc.)
· Fulfill the transportation demand within the agreed boundaries in a cost efficient and optimal way
· Ensure a constructive collaboration with M&S as well as other departments within BU's
Take advantage of operations synergies in the PA group (e. g. other BU's)
Key Tasks
Responsibility: (always in accordance with the instructions/guidelines from BUM TSN and PEK)
Management responsibilities: 90%
· Is the owner for Oceanfreight related processes in the own department and is responsible for the smooth and effective process flow, for well-functioning interfaces as well as for adherence to the defined quality standards
· Manages all strategic activities
· Develop and define a long-term network plan which fits the network and the Panalpina standard requirements
· Define key local service subcontractors together with Area and BUM TSN & PEK, establish long-term relationships, negotiate long-term contracts and manage subcontractor performance in accordance with Area and Corporate standards.
· Define shipping line partners to explore local procurement resources and establish network
· Supervises and controls all activities within the Oceanfreight department and ensures best in class service
· Ensures smooth communication with other departments and represents the own department towards customers, suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders.
· Manages, motivates and develops the TSN OF team in a professional manner, both in compliance with company goals and standards and with HR policy, tools and guidelines
· Supports, motivates and develops the PEK OF team in a professional manner, both in compliance with company goals and standards and with HR policy, tools and guidelines
· Supports the substitutes to supervise and optimize the capacity utilization on the existing network in respect of operational and financial aspects on a BU view resp. in the interest of the PA Group
· Supports the OSC XGG maximize the direct booking in accordance with Area targets
· Forecasts and analyses volume and capacity for Xingang port
· Establishes procedures and manuals for all entities within the Oceanfreight department
· Is responsible for TSN and PEK OF team compliance to general rules and regulations from head offices
· Runs defined projects within the own department cost consciously and according to the defined timeline
· Takes full responsibility of the Oceanfreight related KPI's of BU TSN, implements and monitors KPI performance and initiates corrective measures
· Supports the implementation and monitoring of Oceanfreight related KPI's of BU PEK, initiates corrective measures
· Liases with Area and overseas tender and tariff team, takes lead of Oceanfreight local charges publishing and oceanfreight RFQ's for Xingang port.
· Ensures Oceanfreight customer retention and customer satisfaction in Xingang area.
Administration: 10%
· Prepares, supervises and coordinates statistical information for Cceanfreight business in Xingang
· Controls and signs off invoices for operational expenditures, monitors file status in SAP in accordance with financial procedures in BU TSN.
Gives training to Ocean Freight staff for team development and other stakeholders on request.

- Oceanfreight forwarding industry experience (minimum 5 years)
- Management experience (minimum 5 years)

· Good knowledge of MS Office, database and work processing applications
