Account Manager - Haikou
Company: a leading global travel retailer, distributor and duty free operator in Europe
Work Location: Haikou
Package: 80-120k/yr
Area of Responsibilities:
Account Management:
? Manage and grow HAP’s share of business with assigned Haikou, Hainan customer(s) to achieve monthly and annual sales targets
? Recommend and sell product assortments to customers, ensuring pricing, delivery, and payment terms, are clearly being communicated and followed
? Manage all customers invoice, payments, debit notes and granting of credit notes, in accordance with company policies and agreed sales/promotional activities, and ensure timely collection of all receivable balances
? Optimize inventory level with clients to ensure healthy stock coverage, regularly update detailed forecast to ensure product availability
? Take charge of monitoring and delivering on account P/L, communicate weekly and monthly sales reports
? Maintain and keep track of any updated assortment merchandizing and visual presentation at each POS, in line with company and brand suppliers’ required standards, maintain database of customers’ visual and logo placements and size information
? Develop, implement, and adjust brand and sales promotion plans within allocated A&P budget to ensure commercial and marketing objectives are met, evaluate and report promotions’ results analyzing both quantitative data and qualitative feedback to Purchasing and other key functions
? Liaise with Purchasing Department on implementation of brand-sponsored promotional and training activities
? Collect and update specific customer requirements with regards to invoicing, logistics, product labelling, Customs documentation and ensure these are promptly and accurately communicated to the Customer Service and/or Logistics departments
? Collaborate and liaise with HAP China Office and the different company functions based at Regional Office to appropriately and efficiently service the account and resolve any open or technical issue
Business Development:
? Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, attend industry events and network with industry players
? Help propose and negotiate terms and conditions with potential distribution customers to maximise company’s interest
? Build long term partnership with clients to develop new businesses
? Monitor, build, and share awareness of external market trends and field developments (consumer, competitor, political insight, product, price, channel, etc.) to integrate in commercial and operational decisions
? Be instrumental in and provide input on the development of market and channel strategies
Requirements:
? Minimum of 3 year experience in a sales or commercial mid-management position, preferably in the retail industry ideally in confectionary or packaged food
? Displays high attention to details
? Strong sales and negotiation skills
? Ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with key customer and regional personnel
? Ability to manage projects, plan budgets, prioritize multi-tasking and control deadlines
? Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
? University degree in business or related discipline
? Verbal and written fluency in both Chinese and English
