Application Engineer for ELA Initiative
(ELA = Electronic Light Assembly)

The Application Engineer will be dedicated to selected customers. In this position the candidate has to work closely with the KA-Team and is responsible for the technical and application support on site at the customer as well as during the initialization and design phase in different locations of Festo. Key function is to lead the process integration into the customer implemented production processes. That includes cooperation with different functions within Festo but also a close cooperation with the customer. This position is required to understand customer orientated equipped with a very good technology.

Job description / Prinzipal Accountabilities:
? Executing the sales strategy for Foxconn and ASM
? Monitor the market: competitors, customer strategy, and general market. Fulfilling the turnover target, winning market share
? Support projects with our selected key customers during the initialization at Festo and on site at the customer:
- Close cooperation with the KAM Team and the Product Development Team
- Close cooperation with the Key Customers to develop the best possible solution, design and application
? Detecting key projects, provide consulting and possible solution to dedicated customers during customer oriented design
? Delivery trainings to make customer understand Festo products deeply
? Carry out on-site or remote support activities and close service calls effectively and efficiently in accordance with Festo procedure and standards
? Participate to improve customer satisfaction and achieve competition mindset by finding out and communicating to managements the needs and requirements of customers
? Building up a customer relationship, evaluating the customer network
? Evaluating the key OEM suppliers and their activities at the customer
? Supporting exhibitions, promotions and trainings to the customer

Reporting path: Reporting directly to Team Leader Application Centre ELA Initiative

Skills:
? Graduated engineer (Technical)
? At least 4 years working experience in Festo or at ELA related OEM external would be preferred
? Having a background as Technical Project manager is preferred, sales experience and background would be plus
? Background in technical support with focus on customer satisfaction
? Technical background in the focus fields of Festo: Systems, Electric Drives, Pneumatic Drives, Vision, Sensors, Electric and Pneumatic Cabinets, Pre-Assemblies and Valve technology
? High knowledge of ELA Applications
? Development of Applications according customer needs or customer specification
? Transform the needs of the client into a realistic project and meet the client's expectations
? Keep track and organize multiple clients (internal and external)
? High level of Teamwork skills
? Highly structured personality to manage different locations, multiple projects and teams
? Good analytical knowledge combined with high communication skills
? Frequent travels into designated target countries
? Good English skills (written and spoken)
