Position Summary:
Provide program and project management for the successful development and deployment of key company strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for the cross functional & global alignment, coordination and execution of major projects/programs and business processes involving multi-functional, matrixes areas with significant business impacts. The Program Manager will provide subject matter expertise in areas including program/ project management, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, collaborative problem solving, conflict management and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background. In addition, this position will work in collaboration with other cross functional leaders in both North America and Asia on project updates, project cycles and expected results. This person will ensure the program and associated projects are completed within scope, schedule and budget.
Responsibilities:
? Direct responsibility for the successful execution of cross functional program initiatives
? Develop and manage program and project charters, scope statement, project governance structure and detailed project plans; this person along with other business function managers will determine project milestones, time frames, resources, approach and procedures for accomplishing project while also managing issues and risk.
? Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure each segment of the program progresses on schedule and within budget.
? Work with the business to develop program success metrics and ongoing performance metrics to be reported out periodically to leadership.. Prepare business tollgate documentation and present to the leader of Asia Pacific Operation
? Build and deepen relationships across business and functional groups.
? Develop / review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Ensure and verify all project key process Indicators are achieved for the program.
? Develop and submit overall program status reports; assess/develop project closeout summaries, lessons learned and apply accordingly.
? Require quality assurance; adequate checking methods are implemented for all programs/projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of seven years managing programs, projects and process (Business, Product Development, Sourcing and Operations)
- Experiences in consumer goods and/or building materials industries preferred but not required
- Must have worked in a multinational, American owned organization
- Experiences with North American retail industries.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work
- Identifies as well as resolves issues and roadblocks inhibiting completion of milestones
- Self directed
- Six Sigma certification preferred but not required
- Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese are required
- Proficiency in MS Project and Visio with intermediate proficiency with Microsoft
- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
