Archibat Asia is seeking a General Manager to join an international interior design firm, they are a leading commercial interior design and project management establishment in the Asia Pacific region, aiming to provide clients a whole spectrum of design options in unsurpassed quality.

work location: China Chengdu

Key roles and responsibilities of the General Manager is to:

I. Lead and manage teams and assist Managing Director in the day-to-day management of the Business in ChengDu
II. Assist Managing Director to implement the annual business plan, and to ensure that the profitability of the city business meets or exceeds Budget projections.
III. Generate new business for the Company.
IV. Service existing clients, nurture client relationships and cultivate repeat business and referrals.
V. Achieve personal professional revenue target via new business development leads
VI. Carry out any other assignments as directed by the Managing Director or management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1) Taking charge of the day-to-day management of the business in Chengdu city, supervising the design and project management teams, secretarial and administrative functions of the office. Furthermore, co-operate with other departments when appropriate in all matters relating to the generation of business and the running of the office.

2) Building up a successful design and built team that can consistently generate business for the company. Leading, galvanizing, motivating the managers and negotiators to work as a cohesive team to achieve revenue targets, i.e., providing assistance in pitching for business, negotiation, and deal construction.

3) You are expected to generate business for the Department. Business-generating activities include but are not limited to: Negotiation with client, investigative legwork, market research, developing business contacts, tapping media information, cultivating client relationships, effective follow-up of client databases, and activities in advertising, public relations and promotion.

4) Lead design and project teams in servicing existing clients, nurturing existing client relationships and cultivating repeat business and referrals.

5) Be responsible for overall design and PM direction in the office. This includes design and quality control in staff performance as well as products and services. You are expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

6) Conceptualizing and organizing the Department’s marketing programmes and other activities in respect of client instructions. These activities include: leading or conducting marketing pitches and client presentations, public relations/promotional events/advertising activities, and the production of marketing materials such as proposals, property particulars, Power Point presentations, press releases, brochures, mail shots and other promotional materials.

7) Lead by example, not only the efficient performance of duties but also compliance to all Company policies, and instructions and standards of conduct.

8) Carry out any other assignments as directed by the Managing Director or management.

REQUIREMENTS

? Degree trained in any design discipline.
? At least 10 years working experience relevant to Interior Designer and Project Manager /Business, but designer experience background is must.
? Outstanding capability to develop new business, maintain a company ;
? Fluent spoken and written English;
? A proven track record of professional success.
? Demonstrate leadership skills with experience in managing a company.
? Proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
? Be highly disciplined and proactive with an appetite for challenges.
? Be familiar with Chengdu Interior Decoration Industry/Market
