Job description
7. Analyze market and company’s product roadmap to assess needed material and technology availability, and to provide professional input for company’s sourcing strategies.
8. Evaluate and identify supply risks in quality, OTIF delivery, cost, and provide proper reporting and mitigation action plans to product teams and management team.
9. Manage the commodity team to collaborate and deliver against shared objectives of the company Provide transparent management report on the performance of the commodity
10. Ensure availbility of approved venders who are capable to deliver service level, product & process requirements, quality management requirements, social corporate responsibility requirements, and code of conduct requirements.
11. Managing commodity supplier non-conformance issues according internal process and protols.
12. Together with other commodity managers as key member of the integrated product team (IPT) to manage and optimize product performance of quality, cost, delivery and service level.
13. Perforance manage and develop commodity team members in cooperation with related fucntioanal managers and directors.
Requirements
1. Education:University degree in a technical or business administration subject or equivalent.
2. Experience:At least 10-year experience as either a Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering or Quality specialist working in the technical area of the specific commodity. And at least 5-year experience in a role other than their “functional discipline” developing their commercial skills or technical knowledge.
3. Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, LEAN Supply Chain, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
4. Languages: Fluent written and spoken English & Chinese.
5. Production and Processing:Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
6. Quality management systems: Knowledge of ISO9000, CSR and quality assurance and control techniques, compliance and non-conformance and corrective action cycles and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
7. Law and Government:An awareness of the local laws, code of conduct and regulations applying to supply contracts and liability.
8. Finance: Knowledge of the cost structure, budgeting, invoicing and open book costing.
