Job Description

Witness Mechanical completion activities performed by the Construction Contractor including approval of punch lists for Mechanical Discipline.
Execute all Mechanical & Piping pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities for assigned sub-systems. This includes preparatory activities, coordinating resources (technicians, equipment, and other departments), expediting documentation – in particular handover dossiers, participating in walk-downs from construction to commissioning and from commissioning to operations and formally agreeing and categorizing punch-list items.
Commission systems/subsystems in accordance with the commissioning procedures and commissioning and start-up schedule.
Assist Vendor servicemen with their commissioning activities.
Raise site materials requests (SMR’s), technical queries (TQ’s) field instructions (FI’s) for activities where necessary and livening up notices (LUN’s) where piping / Mechanical equipment or lines require energizing.
Compile relevant documentation to support handover and acceptance of systems to Operations Group.
Check that Mechanical and Piping content of the dossiers is accurate and complete before they are accepted from construction and before they are submitted to operations department.
To Pre-Commission / Commission Mechanical & piping Systems including Pumps and motors Position will report into Brown Field Commissioning Lead Engineer.

Job Requirements:

College Degree or similar in Mechanical Engineering. 8 years experience of working in field based Construction / Commissioning environment in the Oil & Gas industry. In depth knowledge of Mechanical & Piping systems.
Good team player.
Excellent Communication Skills in both written and spoken English.
Should be computer literate.
