Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will support a VSM team for the introduction and sustaining technical support of equipment, process and product, including process qualification, manufacturing and testing, assembly instructions, and technical evaluation of suppliers, bills of material, packaging and compliance requirements.
Description(Please list 5~8 job responsibilities)
1. Accomplish daily production duties and Implement Honeywell Operating System in the daily work throughout the manufacturing group to reduce waste, improve lead-time in pursuit of operations metrics goals.
2. Assist with build, debug, training and installation of new equipment/Process to support defined production goals and requirements.
3. Implement TPM and manage maintenance cost.
4. Oversee the manufacture and test of prototypes for customer evaluation of new products to support customer specifications, operations and technical marketing requirements.
5. TQC and Lean projects to re-design product options, manufacturing equipment, tooling and processes which improve product yield, cycle time or other key metrics and get financial return as a result.
6. Applies scientific principles to identify root cause(s) of manufacturing or product problems. Defines and establishes solutions and works with R&D and Materials as required to implement permanent solution.
7. Ensure Engineering evaluates, enhances and maintains existing products. Design of Experiment methodology followed in building models of components, assemblies, and products to verify design and associated manufacturing processes in specific area of responsibility. Define escalation process for communication of issues and concerns
8. Ensure that engineering activities are managed in accordance with Honeywell business conduct.
9. Works with VSM team member to set up production line and manufacturing processes for transfer products and solves the technical issue. Work with Sourcing department on localization projects. Take lead on Project Transfer as needed.
10. Participates on the Product Development team with responsibility for the required elements of the manufacturing plans, process information and associated cost data analysis. Advise R&D on applications of special processes.
11. Establishes manufacturing processes to ensure successful introduction of new products.
12. Generate, review and update instructions or other documents in accordance with TS16949 quality system requirements.
13. Works with Quality Control to establish accept/reject criteria for new and existing products.
14. Comply with HSE rules.
15. Reviews manufacturing investments for technical feasibility, process fit, and cost/effectiveness, and makes recommendations for solutions or alternatives.
16. Establishes and manages budgets and targets for assigned area of responsibility.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Industry/Functional Knowledge, etc. ):
1. A degree in Electrical / Electronic engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or similar field is required; graduate degree is preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or process, equipment engineering.
3. Experience with high volume manufacturing or new product introduction. Direct experience in launching products required.
4. working knowledge of ISO9001 /ISO14001 Systems and TS16949
5. Familiarity with injection molding, understanding of electrical and mechanical control for automated manufacturing equipment, linear and rotational mechanisms, and pneumatics and industry compliant safety devices is desired. Understanding of tooling, jigs and fixtures design.
6. Experienced in using of process control tools such as FMEA, Control Chart, Cpk Analysis. Ability to define problems, and collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
Skills(Computer, Communication, Leadership, Behavior, etc):
1. Fluent in MS office and CAD, proficient oral and written English and Chinese communication skills.
