LABOUR GRADE: Purchase Engineer

DEPARTMENT: Operation, Great China

REPORTS TO: Purchase Manager

Location: Tianjin

BASIC FUNCTION:

As an important role in operation, this position will involve in all purchasing affairs including production material as well indirect materials.

Working in SAP system to make sure all purchased material arrived in time in good quality.

Making all purchase behavior complied with Smiths Ethics and EHS requirement.

Achieving PPV saving target.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

· To complete the purchase activities, especially for MRO purchase and other materials

· To make sure the materials they purchased reach us on time

· To achieve the purchase materials with high quality with competitive cost

· To maintain the vendor’s capabilities of production and technical level.

· To keep finding the good source for substitutes.

· To support localization project in the respect of purchasing

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY:

• Education:
• At least Bachelor Degree, major in Mechanical/Material/Management/International Trade ;

• Experience:
• typically at least 3 years’ relevant experience in purchasing;
• knowledge of purchasing principles and practices
• strong business writing and reporting skills
• fluent in spoken English.
