Main responsibilities
This person is an experienced design engineer capable of independently developing aspects of product designs:

·Supports the Engineering Manager in the scheduling and delivery of products in line with Sandvik standards and within budget requirements;
·Acts as the main technical interface between the Production and Material Supply Teams;
·Provides engineering support in production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems;
·Develops commissioning procedures for all rig types;
·Continually monitors and reviews all processes for areas where efficiencues can be gained;
·Assists in development of new designs as part of new development projects, or in response to customer requests;
·Responds to and executes engineering change notices;
·Prepares sketches and engineering drawings;
·Performs design calculations to check the suitability of designs;
·Supports the implementation of a controlled production data release process at third-party assembly site;
·Provides technical support to sourcing team;
·Other duties as requested.

Education
What educational background is required to be successful in the job?
University degree preferred (Mechanical Engineering)

Experience & Prerequisites
What experience is required to be successful in the job; number of years, tasks, leadership, documented results etc.
·Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the design of off-highway mobile equipment is preferred;
·Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: diesel engine installations, cooling system installations, strength of materials, control systems, power train analyses, hydraulics, low or high voltage electrics;
Experience in 3-D CAD design environment
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to work under tight timelines.
·High attention to detail.
·Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
