Job Description

- Experience in piping fabrications and assembly, which was a main requirement of the job specification.
- The candidates require experience in the fabrication of high alloy piping spools and assembly of those piping spools onto a process module.
- Management of hydrostatic test packs and re-instatement.
- The candidates must able to communicate in English with the Client site project team and also write their inspection reports in English.
- Duration – 6 -9 Months.

Job Requirement：

QUALIFICATIONS
*GSCE level standard of education (or recognised Chinese equivalent)
*CSWIP Level 3.1 level 1or 2 Welding Inspection Certificate.
*NDE: CSWIP/ PCN (BS EN 9712. ) Qualification Level 2.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE
*Craft or Technical fully served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
* 2 years experience in craft or technical role with an engineering company. (preferably pipe fitter/welder role)
*Experience of “On Site” Inspection duties such as welding, dimensional, alignment and coating inspections on structural teelwork and high alloy piping fabrications and equipment installation / assembly.
*Experience of Preservation maintenance
*Co-ordinating with Client and Third Party Inspectorate / Classification Society.

SKILLS
*Good report writing skills both in inspection reports and daily site reports to VWS Site Manager.
* Ability to review and comprehend Technical Specifications.
* Ability to read P&ID’s and GA drawings.
* Understanding of ISO 9001: 2008 “Quality Management System” fundamentals.
* Ability to interface effectively with Clients / Suppliers and external Verification Bodies such as Classification Society (BV / ABS) on site.
* Ability to utilise Microsoft Word and Excel programs.

PERSONAL QUALITIES / INNATE ABILITIES
*Good command of English language both written and spoken, to enable effective communication with VWS supervisors.
* Prepared to work with minimum supervision.
* Prepared to work as part of project team(s)
*Good communicator.
*Punctual and reliable.

MOTIVATION/ WORK RELATIONSHIPS
*Support the Quality Control Manager in the promotion of quality control activities.
* Liaise with Site Manager Technical Engineers / Site Supervisors to ensure compliance with Client technical specifications.
