SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
· Define world class process technologies for the manufacture of rubber goods. Create written documentation within the plant QSi systems (document control)

LV 2 - Procedures
LV3 Work Instructions
LV 4 Forms
· Develop Control Plans and PFMEA's for each process
· Collect data on key process metrics (as established by the control)
Implement SPC via deployment of the WINSPC software tool. Conduct capability studies as appropriate.
Identify and install automated gaging systems to optimize control of Important Characteristics of the process and/or Critical Characteristics of the product.
Analyze data from data collection systems and take actions to optimize output.
· Conduct DOEx as necessary to tune/optimize processes.
· Drive Lean, Six Sigma projects as appropriate
· Troubleshoot material, equipment, and manufacturing process issues to meet production demands and maintain quality objectives
· Develop relationships with key equipment & service suppliers.
· Assure proper tagging and traceability systems within the facility
· Control nonconforming products or raw materials
· Participate in APQP activities as necessary to assure proper product launches. Utilize the APQP module of Aneng QSi to launch new products per the Veyance Design System (VDS).
Job Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field.
5+ years experience in the rubber industry (Mixing, Extrusion, Calendering, Curing)
Ability to write/speak English and Mandarin Chinese.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
Willingness to train a minimum of 2-6 months in the USA or Australia

Desired:
Technical experience in conveyor belt manufacturing
Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, DOEx, 8D's.
Strong PC skills-Excel spreadsheets, Minitab,

Skills:
Analytical in nature, with experience as a multi-disciplinary collaborative solution seeker.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence others in a non-aggressive manner
