The Position
Reporting to: Project Manager
Description of the position: The Mechanical Engineer will be in charge of coordinating and supervising mechanical works on site

Main responsibilities:
Coordination of all mechanical activities on site. Management of Mechanical Installation Company as Subcontractor.
Liaison with local authorities.
Coordination with suppliers.
Progress supervision, monitoring & reporting.
Assessment of monthly progress payment by Subcontractors.
Estimation & assessment of claims.
Monitor implementation of Works procedures, Quality procedures and Safety plan.
Coordination with Design Institute and/or Technical Department for clarifications or problem resolutions.
Provide input on the Construction Programme.

Based in: On Site (city in China)


Education:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.


Experience:
Minimum 5 yrs experience in the position of Mechanical Engineer on site or as a consultant.


Skills:
Working knowledge of Chinese rules, regulations, permits & contractor’s obligations.
Working knowledge of estimation & assessment of claims by Installation Works Company and or subcontractors
Speaks, reads and writes English.
Good command of standard Microsoft software including Microsoft project.
