Job Title: Operations Manager
Department: 2.0 Ops Mgmt
Reports To: General Manager
Summary:Manages a team of direct labor personnel. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of RF Microwave Component Production, Process Engineering, Scheduling and Warehouse Management. Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with the organization’s polices and applicable laws.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Determine staffing requirements. Interviewing, hiring and training employees.
? Assigning and directing work. Appraising and disciplining employees and addressing employee complaints and problems.
? Oversees activities directly related to making products or providing services.
? Troubleshoot problems with production and takes corrective action. Develop and adopt manufacturing best practices to ensure optimal and efficient workflow.
? Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel.
? Review financial statements, sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction or process improvement.
? Direct, coordinate and monitor organization’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency.
? Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with team members, organizational officials, and staff members as necessary.
? Manage the movement of goods into and out of production and stockroom facilities.

Language Ability:
Must be able to read, interpret and speak in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to read and interpret financial data and forecasts.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to implement innovative, new ideas and best practices. Ability to independently exercise good judgment and decision making.
Computer Skills:
Must have experience using ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
Communication Skills: Ability to influence others to change behavior. Negotiate and ability to effectively instruct others.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred from four-year college or university and/or more than 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
LEAN Manufacturing, ISO 9001 or AS9100 preferable, bottleneck management and resources planning.
